When you're in a new place, getting new information can be a big job.

Essentially, you're starting all over in learning a new environment - you want to know where everything is at, and what's happening around town.

For a lot of people, this kicks in when it's relaxation time.

While you may have settled into a routine that you’re pretty familiar with (going to the bank, the store, etc.) when you have extra time on your hands and want to engage with your community, it often seems like you're staring at a blank wall.

That's where Peek, a new app for local events planning, comes in.

You can use this innovative new application all over the country to get access to events and entertainment opportunities you otherwise might not know about. It’s a great way to speed up the process of getting introduced to your new surroundings.

An Easy, Breezy Interface

Peek starts with an interface that's made for the busy traveler. It has accessible, visual menus that jump out at you for easier single-click searches. There's a destination bar at the top, and an activities menu with large font choices superimposed on attractive images. Just scroll and click, and you can find sightseeing opportunities, outdoor recreation, learning events, and much more to help you make the most of your free time.

The “visual dashboard” makes it easy to use, which is a big deal in today’s responsive web and mobile-first world. If you can’t get to the laptop, you can check out Peek on your smartphone.

Accessible Pricing

Peek also provides handy, accessible information on pricing. When you click into events, you'll see prices clearly and prominently marked on the right. You can also select easy price filters, for example, under $50 to over $250, that will help you to zoom in on the pricing that you want.

A Rating System

In order to provide even more information to users, Peek takes average customer reviews and delivers ratings up to five stars. This is another way to evaluate what you'll be doing in your new neighborhood, and what a local event offers. In addition, clicking into an activity gives you useful and easy to find top-level information including time frames, locations, cancellation and booking information and, last but not least, bullet points that show what's happening.

"Absolutely amazing to work with! Ashley Steen and Amanda Valenziano are perfection. I couldn't be happier to be working with cross country. Despite multiple recruiters calling daily it isn't always about the money but the way you are treated. Thank you for the opportunity." - Amy D RN RRT-NPS
